How to style your New Balance

With streetwear well and truly part of our wardrobes, we thought we’d give you a breakdown on key styles and brands to incorporate into your wardrobe this season. Shoes tend to make or break an outfit and in streetwear, the importance placed upon what’s on your feet is paramount.

This is where New Balance steps in. Running royalty, this brand has a huge A-list following with the likes of Kanye, Alexa Chung and even Spiderman himself sporting a pair.

We recommend that you pick a pair of sneakers that will contrast with the colours of your outfit to make them stand out.

If you’re opting for a plain denim outfit, neutral hues work well. Tan and beige colours are the perfect transitional colours to take you from summer to autumn.

We heard on the grapevine that navy is the new black and what better way to jump on the trend than through a pair of new shoes. Navy works well when teamed with a camel or grey outfit.

Our favorite option however, has to be the grey and gold New Balance. Perfect for adding a touch of luxe to your shoe collection.

adidas x Supershell

After storming the industry with his Superstar collection, international icon Pharrell Williams continues his fruitful relationship with adidas to bring to life his next vision – the Superstar Supershell.

The new collection features one-of-a-kind artwork from both Pharrell himself and “Mr” – a Japanese anime artist whose work is rendered in the anime style and reflects the unique Japanese concept of “moe” (a new form of beauty in the contemporary age). The range also features designs from New York City artist Todd James, whose creativity is inspired by his experiences growing up around hip-hop and graffiti culture.

With a variety of designs, prints and moulded outlines, the personality and artistic influences behind each shoe are clear to see.

Brought to life on the legendary Superstar profile, the shell toe is the canvas for each artist’s vision, bringing a fresh, modern look to the classic design.
