Barbour Launches its First Full Collection of Men’s Footwear for Autumn/Winter 2012
Founded in 1894 by John Barbour, a Scot from Galloway, Barbour established itself in the burgeoning port of South Shields in the North East of England supplying oilskins and other garments to protect the growing community of sailors, fishermen and dockers.
Since then, the brand’s rich archive has helped broaden its appeal, along with more rugged tailoring and new fits. Barbour continues to evolve as a lifestyle brand while staying true to its sporting core.
The launch of Barbour footwear follows the successful collaboration with Northampton shoe-makers Grenson, continuing into AW12, with a capsule collection of ladies’ footwear planned for 2013.
True to the brand, each shoe is high quality and hard-wearing, with performance or weatherproof elements. Hand-crafted by skilled artisans, the shoes are prepared on traditional English footwear machinery.
To celebrate the launch of Barbour’s first full collection of men’s footwear, we are giving away a pair of Barbour Vulcan Trainers! To win, simply answer the question below by leaving a comment on this blog post:
