The print to be seen in, it’s time to fashionably arm yourself for the new season with a splash of camouflage. Added to even the simplest outfit, a khaki printed accessory will elevate your look in an instant as well as effortlessly injecting some colour. And the army-inspired pattern isn’t just limited to khaki – for a bolder approach why not try a multi-coloured version?
The rules are simple, be anything but hidden in camo this Autumn, just perhaps don’t wear it head to toe unless you really are joining the army…

Designers have been feeling rather nostalgic recently when it comes to footwear. Chelsea boots, buckled biker boots and clogs have been gracing the Autumn/Winter 13 catwalks once again.
Clogs saw their peak in fashion in the 1970s, originating in Sweden, when they progressed from workers shoes and outdoor slippers, into a Swedish fashion staple.
In keeping with it’s folky heritage, this season the clog has been seen styled with frilly socks and brown, black and maroon hues which complement the town & country style set to explode onto the high street this winter. Get your big knits, floral skirts and tartan out, sharpish!
Here at Soletrader, we are very excited to be getting the new AW13 collection of Swedish Hasbeens, the ultimate clog brand, on our webstore.
On a summer’s day in 2006, 300 pairs of clogs, dating back to the 70s, were found in the basement of an old clog factory in a small Swedish village. The clogs were brought back to Stockholm and became the inspiration to the Swedish Hasbeens that have been taking the fashion world by storm ever since. The fashion world’s gone mono-manic and luckily it’s got to be the easiest Spring/Summer ’13 trend to nail. The black and white brotherhood is timeless and trans-seasonal, smart or casual and a completely blank canvas to work with the rest of your wardrobe.
And so the hype surrounding the crisp Converse All Star Mono collection is BIG – unsurprisingly. The iconic silhouette of the basketball sneaker has gone back to basics to become clean, classic and when matched with it’s contrary, totally edgy. Check out the leather styles for added rock and roll.
monochrome + micro-trend
A key micro-trend for AW13 is the men’s slip-on shoe. The ultimate travel necessity, the slip-on is comfortable and wearable with an air of continental cool.
Cue Flossy. Founded 25 years ago, Flossy plimsolls are the ultimate combination of comfort and style, originally worn by sailing crew and artists in Spanish coastal towns. Don’t knock ’em until you’ve tried ’em. You’ll never want to take them off, and you’ll never have to, when wearing these wardrobe-staple shades : –
